Our Story
Built by a Local Hunter, For Our Local Community.
My name is Casey Cutshall, and HuntLease.co wasn't born in a boardroom. It was born in a tree stand, right here in the rolling hills of Frederick County, Maryland.
Like many of you, I've spent my life chasing whitetails and wild turkeys through our local woods and fields. I've experienced the thrill of a crisp November morning and the frustration of seeing "No Trespassing" signs on land that used to be open to a handshake agreement.
For years, I saw the disconnect. On one side, you have dedicated, respectful hunters struggling to find a safe, private place to enjoy the season and make memories. On the other, you have landowners with beautiful, under-utilized properties who are hesitant to lease, worried about the hassle, the liability, or dealing with people they don't know.
The big, national websites didn't help. They felt like impersonal, overwhelming databases—more like a cattle call than a community. I knew there had to be a better way, a way that was built on trust, direct connection, and local knowledge.
That's why I built HuntLease.co.
Our mission is simple: to be the most trusted, direct, and straightforward way for landowners and hunters in our region to connect.
For Landowners:
We provide a completely free, easy-to-use platform to list your property. We believe you should keep 100% of your lease profit, so we take no fees and no commissions. More importantly, we believe you should be in complete control, communicating directly with the people who want to be on your land.
For Hunters:
We provide a curated, high-quality collection of local leases. We are not a giant database of unverified listings. We are a community hub where you can find your perfect private spot and connect with landowners who value respectful stewardship.
This is more than just a business to me. It's about strengthening our local hunting heritage, supporting our landowners, and ensuring that the next generation has the same opportunities to connect with the outdoors that we did.
Whether you're a landowner with a five-acre woodlot or a hundred-acre farm, or a hunter looking for your next adventure, I'm glad you're here. Welcome to the community.
Thanks for being here,
Casey Cutshall
